Building a Joint Retailer-Supplier S&OP process

What happens when retailers and suppliers stop planning separately and start managing the supply chain together? In this session, Jasper van Rijn and Cazijn Langeler will explore the growing trend of joint retailer-supplier S&OP. Through perspectives from both retail and FMCG, they will discuss how shared planning can improve availability, reduce inefficiencies, and strengthen collaboration across the value chain. At the same time, they will address the complexities around decision-making, ownership, accountability, and data sharing that must be overcome to make joint S&OP successful.

Speakers:
Jasper van Rijn, Managing Director, focus on Retail
Cazijn Langeler, Managing Director, focus on FMCG

Strengthen your IBP with AI assessments

An important aspect on the road to high IBP maturity is monitoring the quality via assessments. Ideally, these are executed independently by an expert team, but this requires significant resources that in most cases are not available. A combination of AI and expert knowledge can now address this gap and automate the assessments. Next phase: coach the IBP practitioners and help improve the process.

Hans van der Drift, partner at Involvation

Planning First: Why elho Chose to Build Its Decision-Making Engine Before Replacing Its ERP

Maurice Stevens of elho and Veerle Willems of I-Plan explain why an ERP should support supply-chain decisions, not dictate them. elho is developing the advanced-planning layer that helps teams evaluate demand, capacity, service, inventory and cost before replacing the transactional system beneath it. This is not about designing every future process before choosing technology. It is about defining the decision-making capabilities that create business value, then ensuring the future ERP provides the right data and execution backbone. Attendees will hear how the two layers can work together without sacrificing competitive advantage.

Speakers:
Veerle Willems, Supply Chain Consultant of I-Plan
Maurice Stevens, Head of Supply Chain planning & Master Data of elho

Moving to the future of planning: AI where possible, optimisation where needed

With customer insights from e-Luscious

Run scenarios and take decisions previously out of reach, with AI-native optimisation software from OAASIS. AI increasingly validates data, flags exceptions and explains root causes. The Optimisation Core calculates the best feasible end-to-end plan within real-world constraints and re-solves it as conditions change. This enables improved workflows, where planners work through more data and faster and can focus on improving supply chain performance as true business partners in S&OP. Anne Schipper (Head of Supply Chain & Data Management, e-Luscious) shares the e-Luscious transformation and its results. Wouter Samama (Founder & CEO, OAASIS) shares more on the where planning is heading.

Speakers:
Wouter Samama, Founder & CEO at OAASIS
Anne Schipper, Head of Supply Chain & Data Management at e-Luscious

Confessions of a Forecast Accuracy Addict

I used to be obsessed with forecast accuracy, like many planners; I spent years polishing numbers while the real decisions waited until the next cycle. For anyone who recognises the symptoms in themselves. We’ll explore why new tools just amplify our old habits and assumptions; I will focus on better, faster decisions. We will meet the AI agents quietly joining our teams, and remember that it’s people who change how planning works. The road to recovery: faster, better decisions.
First step: admitting we have a problem.

Dave Food, Supply Chain Analyst at Slimstock

From Manual to AI driven: Bringing Sales & Supply Together

Most demand planning still runs on manual effort: consolidating inputs, aligning sales and supply chain perspectives, and reconciling demand signals with market reality before every S&OP cycle. In this session, Sunstice and McCoy & Partners show, live, what the path to autonomous and collaborative planning looks like. You will see how sales and supply chain collaborate in Sunstice Demand Planning to align demand signals with market reality, Sunstice Helios™ help planners understand what drives the numbers, and both teams align on one shared demand plan for S&OP. Planners stay in control; their time moves to the decisions that matter.

Speakers:

Skander Beji, Solutions Consultant at Sunstice
Colin van Baar
, Integrated Business Planning Consultant at McCoy

Putting the Sales back in S&OP: Bottom-up forecasting at customer-item level

Once you know the building blocks of your forecast, it’s easier to see why the numbers move. Account managers know when a customer is starting a project or switching suppliers, but that knowledge rarely makes it into the forecast in time. Bottom-up forecasting at customer-item level changes that: account managers adjust the forecast for their own customers, and supply only steps in when something looks off. Add customer-specific pricing, and you can see where you make money and where you lose it. At innico, we want to put the Sales back in S&OP. We’ll show how, with examples from Coulisse, the international window-covering company from Twente.

Matthias Wentink, Product owner at Innico
